The Hotel Industry 2

Why to Choose the Hotel Restaurant?

How many times staying at your comfortable hotel suite, you were wondering:" Shall I go out for a dinner or visit the hotel restaurant?" Let's see some reasons why to choose the hotel  chef's specialties.
An important advantage of the hotel restaurant is the very close distance, just a few minutes with the elevator. You should not worry neither about the weather, nor about taking taxi. Not using any transport also means saving money.
Another strong point in support of the hotel F&B department is that you can always make reservation from the comfort of your  soft bed, without asking the reception staff for assistance or  increasing your cell phone bill. Furthermore you might check the menu and order food in advance, so as soon as you enter the restaurant, your favorite meal will be waiting for you. This cannot happen when visiting outside restaurants. There also at times you might feel a little bit stupid having dinner alone while at the rest of the tables are sitting kissing couples or noisy companies. At the hotel restaurant people traveling alone feel better as there are always other  individuals seating alone reading books or working on the laptops.
The variety of  payment methods is another advantage of the hotel restaurants. You do not need to change currencies,  look for a ATM machine or even carry any cash with you. Simply sigh the bill and it will be charged to your room. It is much easier to pay all the expenses at the end of the stay and even have all the charges at one receipt. This is much of use to business travelers who need to collect and present the bills of their expenses.
Nevertheless, you should go out and try some traditional dish and typical spices, but still enjoy the comfort of the hotel restaurant at the rest of the time.

                                         5 Myths about Hotels

We are all aware that the hospitality industry has grown dramatically during the last decades. Riding a horse and sleeping in a inn looks like a part of the history nowadays. But what is the actual purpose of a given hotel? In fact it is a place to spend  the night and maybe get some food. Not only the hotels have elaborated, but the needs and the expectations of the customers.
Here are five basic myths about hotels:

1.Higher prices means higher service quality
Often, if we are paying more for a room, we expect nice furniture, beautiful view and top level service. In fact there are many hotels that charge a great amount of money for a simple room, just because of the location, or their famous name or because of an important event taking place nearby.

2. Center location is best
Most of the travelers would prefer accommodation at the center of the city they are going to. At past this would mean close distance to the walking streets, to the shops and entertainments. As the cities are growing more and more, many of the fashion malls, night clubs and even business buildings are at the suburbs.

3. The brand hotels always offer same services and quality
Of course, this is too difficult to achieve and we understand that, but it is important to have it in mind.

4. "Home away from home"
Most of the hotels advertise that visiting them you will feel at " home away from home".  Especially business travelers will agree this is a myth. Nevertheless the more at home we feel the better.

5. "The guest is always right"
If that is a myth or no, we might ask hotel employees. Hospitality industry has spoiled us as customers to some extent. Many people misunderstand that and sometimes  take advantage of it. In fact there are some limits that we and the hotel staff should never cross.

These are just some of the myths about hotels created by the changes of  both the hospitality industry and the  expectations of the travelers.
